I thought you might like to know a relatively simple DIY-tip that can give it a little va-va-voom without compromising your brand:
You’ve no doubt heard of GIFs and seen them in action on social media. Did you know you can create your own simple GIFs using your logo, images and wording? Take a look at my header image and the Mailchimp logo I’ve done below for some examples.
It sounds like it should be complicated - it’s not, and you can DIY it without involving a graphic designer or fancy software.
Read on to find out how to do it.
How to create a branded gif
Firstly, create a free account at canva.com if you don’t already have one.
Create a new image and upload your logo as a file.
Insert the logo image and another other wording and create your layout design.
Click on each individual element (whether that’s wording or the images) and select “animate” (in the menu bar above your design).
Have a play around with animations effects until you find a combination you like.
Click download in the top right hand corner, and change it from MP4 to GIF, then download.
Go back into Mailchimp, go to add an image block into an email and upload the GIF as you would a normal image.
Away you go! I hope you have fun and enjoy seeing your emails come to life just a little bit.
